Emergency responders arrived on the scene of a reported structure fire in the 4400 block of La Paloma Ave. on Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in at 3:43 p.m. with crews from Santa Barbara County and City fire departments arriving in the neighborhood off Cathedral Oaks and Highway 154.
Firefighters discovered heavy smoke and flames coming from the second story and attic area of a residential home under construction.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire within thirty minutes, keeping most of the fire contained to the second story.
All construction workers were able to safely evacuate the home. There are no reported injuries.
The official cause is under investigation.
