Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to 0.6-acre vegetation fire near Haskell’s Beach in Goleta on Wednesday.
At 3:58 p.m., crews responded to the 8300 block of Hollister Ave near the gas plant, between the Ritz-Carlton Bacara and Sandpiper Golf Club, for reports of visible smoke and flames.
Multiple units were on scene and discovered a small brush fire moving at slow rate of speed with minimal wind spreading to nearby Eucalyptus trees.
The forward progress of the fire was stopped at 5:05 p.m. at 0.6 acre.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
