Firefighters Contain Garage Blaze on Myra Street in Carpinteria

A residential garage fire on Myra Street prompted an immediate response from fire crews on Friday afternoon.

Crews from the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District responded to the 1500 block of Myra Street off Casitas Pass Road at 4:57 p.m. There were no residents home at the time of the fire.

The Fire Department confirmed the fire was successfully contained to the garage area, preventing its spread to adjacent structures. There were no injuries.

While the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, authorities have not yet provided further details regarding the potential origin or circumstances leading up to the event.

Following the containment of the fire, fire personnel remained engaged in mop-up operations, aiming to eliminate any remaining hot spots and ensure the complete extinguishment of the fire.
