Fired Up Fiesta Kids
Scroll through John's photos above!

I grew up in a family with some equestrians so watching horses and riders is one of the many things I enjoy about the Fiesta Parade.
Another big highlight is the entertaining "fire brigade" and this year I got these pix of kids fired up by it. First, they were watching intently as the crew hooked up a hose, then they were invited to help turn on the hydrant.
After the hose was pressurized they helped turn it off again. They all turned to watch in pure delight as a fireman out in the street released the pressure in a towering fountain that momentarily cooled the crowd as mist wafted in the breeze.
Thank you firefighters, for protecting life & property and for also adding thrills and chills to the parade.

Aug 05, 2018 08:18 AMHow wonderful they involved the children. Something those kids will never forget, they'll be telling their grandkids about the day they helped Fiesta firefighters. Thanks for the photos and explanation.

Aug 05, 2018 10:39 AMWhat a wonderful few photos that show a really fun time for the kids and the crowds. I especially like that last photo that shows the absolute delight of the kids (and adults) after they see the culmination of what the firefighters had them do - precious! Thank you!
