Edhat StaffSanta Barbara County firefighters responded to a structure fire in Santa Ynez that displaced a family on Friday evening.
At 9:39 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to 3139 Tiana Drive and found a working fire in a back bedroom of the one-story single family residence.
The fire was contained to the bedroom, but all the contents of that room were damaged, as the rest of the home sustained smoke damage, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.
Due to the smoke damage, the family was displaced for the evening and Red Cross was notified.
The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
