Five years ago today the Santa Barbara City Fire Department Family lost Firefighter Daniel Corrigan.

Firefighter Corrigan tragically lost his life on March 4, 2015, when he suffered a job-related medical emergency. Firefighter Corrigan was a dedicated and respected member of the Santa Barbara City Fire Department. Firefighter Corrigan began his fire service career with the Fresno City Fire Department in 2007 and was hired by Santa Barbara City Fire in 2013.

Dan is constantly being remembered. Each fire station has a photograph of him on the wall. Stories about him are shared with newer firefighters and the Fire Training Center has a memorial plaque. Current and future generations of firefighters conducting training exercises, will see the plaque, it will serve as a reminder of Dan’s dedication to his profession and the exceptional service he provided to his community. Firefighter Corrigan is gone but never forgotten.
