Caltrans, in partnership with the City of Santa Maria, invites the community to share input on preliminary design concepts for Main Street and Broadway as part of a downtown planning study.

Residents, business owners, and visitors have a dynamic and interactive opportunity to help reimagine and shape improvements that truly reflect the vision and priorities of everyone who lives, works, and visits downtown Santa Maria.

From now through the end of April, community members can respond through this short online survey,

The planning study is set to transform downtown Santa Maria by making it easier and more enjoyable to get around. Exciting bike and pedestrian improvements are on the horizon, paving the way for a vibrant, connected community. These enhancements are not only designed to boost accessibility but also open new funding opportunities that will help bring big ideas to life.

“This is an important opportunity for the community to help guide the future of downtown Santa Maria. Public input ensures these improvements serve everyone,” said Finn James, Caltrans Planning Liaison.

City of Santa Maria and Caltrans look forward to engaging with the community and hearing directly from those who know the area best. For more information, visit this website.
