Figueroa Mountain Brewing Captures Medals at World’s Largest Beer Competition

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co., a staple of craft beer excellence founded in Buellton, has once again made its mark on the global stage by securing two prestigious medals at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition, a feat that accentuates its legacy and mastery in brewing.

Hosted by the Brewers Association®, the GABF is renowned for showcasing the pinnacle of brewing brilliance, with the 2024 iteration featuring an unparalleled array of beers and ciders across 107 categories, covering 175 styles, including newly introduced cider categories.

Over the course of seven days, 285 judges delved into the vast selection, culminating in a celebration of the finest brews, where Figueroa Mountain Brewing outshone once again. Their Agua Santa Imperial and Magpie Baltic Porter each garnered a silver medal, marking the brewery’s 33rd and 34th accolades at the festival and establishing an unmatched record of 14 consecutive years of medal triumphs since their inception.

Founder Jaime Dietenhofer shared his enthusiasm. “Winning this year was extra special,” said Dietenhofer. “This was one the one of the most competitive GABF awards ever. To have your beers judged in a blind tasting without the marketing hype or outside influence means so much. We are so grateful to have our beers recognized at this level and are excited about bringing recognition to beer and breweries on the Central Coast.”

Head Brewer Kevin Ashford said, “This never gets old, but it gets tougher every year, great to see the Central Coast represent. Hopefully more attention is brought to the great breweries right here in our backyard.”
