Fiery Sunset

The Alisal Fire continues to burn on the Gaviota Coast. As of Wednesday, October 13, it had burned over 15,000 acres. As a result an air quality alert for Santa Barbara County has been issued. This was manifested by a fiery sunset at 6:24pm from Santa Barbara. Photo attached was by my wife, Charlotte Williams.

Oct 15, 2021 04:12 PMGreat pic, Ron. That lift in the smoke right over the sun somehow gives it a depressed look. We're going for a walk now, in case the pall of smoke over the valley and at the upper level going back SSW offshore ends up mingling with our air again by dusk. Seems like what doesn't get us right away comes back to haunt like one of those movie zombies that never stops.
