Felons Arrested for Firearm and Narcotics

The Santa Maria Police Department Special Enforcement Team (SET), Santa Maria Police Department Detective Bureau and The Santa Barbara County Sheriff Narcotic Unit all worked together to serve a search warrant in the 2000 block of N. Preisker Lane, Santa Maria.

During the investigation, officers found 2 loaded handguns, 378 grams of methamphetamine, 136 grams of heroin and several rounds of ammunition. 1 of the recovered handguns had been reported as stolen.

Robert Briseno, 43 years old, and Michael Martinez, 47 years old, are both convicted felons and were charged with felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of heroin for sale, transportation of methamphetamine and transportation of heroin.

Briseno and Martinez are residents of Bakersfield were transported and booked into the SBCO Jail.
