Are you looking for a couch potato to curl up with and binge watch your favorite shows? A running buddy to help keep you active? Or, how about a curious cat to keep you on your toes? Adopt an “All American Shelter Pet” today!

Santa Barbara County Animal Services has “All American Shelter Pets” eager to find their forever homes. To help these cuddly canines, flirtatious felines, and rambunctious rabbits find their MVP (Most Valuable People), Santa Barbara County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees from July 8 until July 20 for all animals five months and older.

The fourth of July is the busiest time of the year for animal shelters and our kennels will be full in the weeks following. In an effort to make kennel space and help our longer term pets find their forever homes, we are waiving adoption fees for all animals five months and older. To take advantage of this limited time offer, adopters are urged to visit one of our three open access facilities; in Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Santa Barbara; or stop by all three; adoption advocates are standing by to help you choose your next family member.

Choose your very own pet by visiting one of our three county shelters in Santa Maria at 548 W. Foster Rd, in Lompoc at 1501 W. Central Ave, and in Santa Barbara at 5473 Overpass Rd.

All adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped (free, lifetime registration included), and ready to complete your family. Licensing fees may apply. Standard adoption screening applies.

Santa Barbara County Animal Services reminds you to show your pet how much you care by ensuring their license is up to date. A license is your pet’s ticket home!

If your heart and home is currently full, you can also make a difference by volunteering with us, fostering a pet that needs a break from the shelter, or by donating to help us care for thousands of homeless pets throughout Santa Barbara County.
