Santa Barbara County Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team responded to a kayak rescue off Campus Point Wednesday.
At 6:22 p.m. crews arrived at Lagoon Road in Goleta and discovered a middle-aged male kayaking about 300 yards off Campus Point near UC Santa Barbara.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, they kayaker was fatigued and unable to make it back to shore.
The water rescue team deployed a jetski to assist the kayaker to shore. He was than transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
What pain level is fatigue? Is it high enough to warrant a rescue? 😉
