A 40-year-old man was pronounced dead from a traffic collision in Orcutt on Thursday evening.
At 10:38 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to Highway 135 near Rice Ranch Road.
Crews found a sedan had crashed off the roadway. The solo occupant, whose identity has yet to be released, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.

A vehicle plunged off a Highway 135 bridge in Orcutt late Thursday night, killing the driver, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. The sedan came to rest on Rice Ranch Road, below the bridge and the Little League fields, according to the California Highway Patrol.
