A fatal traffic accident near Rincon caused severe traffic delays for nearly four hours on Highway 101 Saturday evening.
One person has reportedly died in a rollover vehicle collision, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
The incident was reported at 5:28 p.m. just north of Padre Juan Canyon Road. One person was pronounced dead on the scene and two others sustained critical injuries and were transported to Ventura County Medical Center.
A rescue helicopter was called to the scene to transport one of the victims. Northbound lanes of Highway 101 were temporarily shut down to clear space for the helicopter to land.
An edhat reader reports they were stuck in traffic until almost 9:00 p.m.
