Fatal Structure Fire in Santa Maria

On 5/1/20 at approximately 1238 hours, SMPD officers along with SMFD responded to the 200 Blk. of W. Carmen Ln in response to a structure fire.

When the fire was extinguished, a body was discovered in the residence. The decedent is described as a 65-year-old female and Santa Maria resident. Her identity is being withheld at this time pending next of kin notification.
