Fatal Hit and Run in Santa Maria

Riding a bike on public streets demands being soberly super-aware of vehicular traffic and as visible as possible. Whether you have the right-of-way or not--even if you're in the bike lane-- any collision will injure the rider more seriously than the vehicle. Don't count on motorists to pay attention or act responsibly. Some won't.
