Falcon 9 Rocket Launches Friday Morning

After being rescheduled several times, the Falcon 9 rocket officially launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB) on Friday morning.

The SpaceX Falcon rocket is carrying the final Iridium mission for the year, sending the Iridium NEXT satellites 66-75 into orbit.

It launched from the Space Launch Complex-4E at VAFB in Lompoc at 7:31 a.m.

According to edhat readers, the rumblings could be heard and felt from Santa Maria to Carpinteria.
