Source: City of Goleta

SCE has notified the City that it intends to prune 39 eucalyptus trees within the Southern California Edison utility right-of-way in Santa Barbara Shores Park that are dead and/or at high risk of failure adjacent to high voltage electrical facilities in order to protect life and property from imminent danger. This maintenance work is scheduled to take place April 18 – May 4, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. An Environmental Monitor will be on site for the duration of the work.

For questions, please contact Marc Freeman, Southern California Edison Project Manager, at 805-654-7411.

The City of Goleta intends to move forward with tree removal (1) and trimming (8) in this same neighborhood as previously noticed. The City work also addresses health and safety concerns and will start on April 22, 2019.
