It’s March 14, also known as 3/14, and perhaps better known as 3.14 and the beginning numbers of the mathematical constant Pi. 

For those math enthusiasts, Pi was originally defined as the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, but it now has various definitions and appears in many formulas in mathematics and physics. Its closest approximate equal is 3.14159.

But enough of that number stuff, today is about pi-related discounts. An edhat reader asked the question yesterday and another reader offered some businesses honoring the unofficial math holiday. Whether it relates to pizza pie or old-fashioned dessert pie, several locations throughout town are offering discounts on March 14 (3.14) only.
