Santa Barbara County Mountains- Including the cities of San Marcos Pass, San Rafael Wilderness Area, and Dick Smith Wilderness Area

HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING

* TEMPERATURES…High temperatures topping out in the 90s, warmest in the foothill areas.

* IMPACTS…Very high temperatures will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Temperatures inside vehicles, even if the windows are partially open, can quickly rise to life-threatening levels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. Hot temperatures will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

* TEMPERATURES…Mid 80s to mid 90s, especially a few miles inland from the coast.
