A beautiful 1937 Lockheed 12A Electra Jr. was parked at SBA Friday, and John Wiley shared some pics. Does it look similar to the plane in Amelia's last flight?

Jun 03, 2019 01:11 PMYes, even parked, interior's redone too, and it's quite a rare bird (only 130 build and ~10 flying). It looked like a time machine from 1937 sitting among the corporate jets. Check out the wiki pages for Lockheed 12, and the slightly less rare Lockheed 10 of Earhart fame it's based on. You can see interior pix from one (this one?) listed for sale: https://www.aircraftdealer.com/aircraft-for-sale-detail/Lockheed_12A/1937-Lockheed-12A-/68871.htm
