Elderly Woman Injured in Vehicle Rollover

An elderly woman was injured during a vehicle rollover in Solvang on Sunday morning.

At 9:13 a.m., an 88-year-old woman was driving alone in her vehicle when she hit a parked car, causing her vehicle to roll in the intersection of 4th Street and Mission. Santa Barbara County fire crews responded as the woman was trapped inside the vehicle, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

Fire crews extricated the driver through a back hatch of the vehicle as she was complaining of moderate injuries. She was then transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via ground ambulance.

The collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
