In a nostalgic nod to yesteryears, we’re announcing a new delivery service that will surely have heads turning skyward. Our “News by Pigeon” service promises to revolutionize the way Santa Barbara residents receive their daily news – and it’s exactly as it sounds.
Ed has been working “under the radar” to train a fleet of pigeons, each equipped with tiny backpacks designed to carry news stories directly to subscribers’ windowsills. The service, intended to add a personal touch to the digital news consumption experience, will deploy its first squadron of news-bearing birds starting next month.
“The ‘News by Pigeon’ service is a milestone for Edhat and represents our commitment to innovative, eco-friendly news delivery methods,” stated Ed. “Plus, in these digital times, who wouldn’t appreciate a bit of analog charm?”
Subscribers interested in opting into the service are encouraged to sign up on Edhat’s website here, where they could specify their preferred delivery windows and make special requests for the type of news stories they would like to receive. As a token of their commitment to the environment and animal welfare, Edhat also outlined the stringent training and welfare standards maintained for their pigeon partners, ensuring they are treated with care and respect.
To drum up excitement and offer a preview of the service, we plan to host a live demonstration in De La Guerra Plaza next month, where the public can meet some of the star pigeons, watch a mock news delivery, and even participate in a “name a pigeon” contest.
