East Valley Road Water Main Replacement on Monday

Source: Montecito Water District

Montecito Water District is one hundred years old—and so are some of its pipelines! As part of its Capital Improvements program, the District will be upgrading approximately 1 mile of water main that dates back to the 1920’s along East Valley Road (Highway 192).  These projects improve water delivery reliability by helping prevent water outages and water loss experienced during main breaks. While work is planned in efficient short stretches to minimize impacts, avoiding the area during construction hours when possible is advised.

Project Schedule

Start Date:  Monday, January 3rd
Completion: Summer 2022
Scope: East Valley Rd. (Highway 192) from Freehaven Dr. to Orchard Ave.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m
Contractor: J Vega Engineering
Traffic Impacts: Single Lane Closure (minor delays)

Montecito Water District’s mission is to provide an adequate and reliable supply of high quality water to the residents of Montecito and Summerland, at the most reasonable cost. In carrying out this mission, the District places particular emphasis on providing outstanding customer service, conducting its operations in an environmentally sensitive manner, and working cooperatively with other agencies.
