California Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle rollover with one injury near Gaviota State Beach on Monday evening.
At 7:55 p.m. Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to Highway 101 southbound at the Gaviota State Beach exit for a reported vehicle accident. Calstar helicopter was unable to fly due to weather and a ground ambulance responded in its place.
Crews on scene discovered a vehicle had rolled over with a single occupant inside. The patient sustained a head injury and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via ground ambulance.
CHP is remaining on scene to investigate the incident and control traffic in the area.
