California Highway Patrol is reporting a vehicle crashed into the marsh off Highway 217 near Sandspit Road towards Goleta Beach.
A witness reported a blue Subaru speeding across lanes and crashing into the marsh off the roadway.
The vehicle is off the roadway and unable to be driven.

The driver was my daughter’s fiance. He was stung in the foot by a ray while surf fishing at Goleta Beach, had a bad reaction, and passed out while merging onto the 217. When first responders arrived, he was disoriented due to a head injury and asking for a tow, even though both axels had been ripped off. He was taken by ambulance to Cottage, where he is right now. Maybe JB86 should keep her/his trap shut until he/she knows the facts.
Relax. Its an odd story. Maybe someone should have thought to drive him home
