Downtown Santa Barbara Organization Announces Holiday Décor Contest Winners

‘Tis the Season for the Downtown Organization sponsored Holiday Décor Contest where each year businesses are recognized for their holiday decorating efforts. The judging committee strolled along State Street on a chilly Thursday evening to embrace the decorated storefronts - what a treat!

More than 40 downtown businesses participated in this year’s festivities, and each window stayed true to the business while maintaining a holiday theme. Highlights include polar bears, 8ft trees, inflatables, moose-riding Santas, and a custom north pole train and more.

The incredible decorations made the judge’s job very difficult, and the score was as close as it gets. The 1st place was a tie with 33.8 points, and second place was a tie with 33.5 points.

The following businesses are awarded for their outstanding efforts:

Tied for 1st Place

1st Place – 33 Jewels – 814 State Street “The Golden Peacock Nest Award” & 1st Chase Restaurant & Lounge - 1012 State Street “The Flying Reindeer Award”

Tied for 2nd Place

2nd Place - Kaleidoscope Flowers - 1341 State Street “The Crimson Christmas Award“ & 2nd Place - State Street Axe Club - 427 State Street “The Grinchmas Award”
