Zeus and Lilly Bell are both 10-year-old male and female Labrador Retriever Pit Bull Terrier mix dogs, weighing approximately 70-80 lbs each, and are available for adoption at the Lompoc Animal Center. This brother and sister pair love one another, people, and other dogs.
Zeus and Lilly Bell both like lounging on the couch and will cuddle up with you if you put on a good movie. Lilly Bell loves to sunbathe, and Zeus will greet you with a bark. They are both certified good dogs through and through. Their adoption fees include Zeus’s neutering and Lilly Bell’s spaying, as well as microchipping, vaccinations, flea treatment, and a health and wellness exam.

Pit bulls and pit bull mixtures seem to be particularly hard for shelters to place.
Yeah, loads of pit bulls in our shelters for many, many years. They’ve been the poster child breed of the County shelters and other adoption places forever. The latest sad situation is the huskies. So many Ill-equipped dog owners have gone for a trendy husky over the past 5 years or so, it’s crazy. Many of them in the shelters, going nowhere. Not a great breed for around here, especially for a novice dog owner. Same with German Shepards.
The word you wanted was shepherd.
These dogs are TEN YEARS OLD!
Obviously their people gave them up with no other option.
Ask me how I know. Or go work the front counter at a municipal, open shelter for a few years.
