Dog Running on Highway 101

A car is stopped just after the Milpas exit and the driver is chasing a small great and white dog down the northbound 101.

  1. My pal Dan who used to live where Roger lives had a Husky that would take himself for runs down Milpas and to the beach. Poor Danny had to pay the bail every time the dog catcher jailed him. I ended up making tags for the collar that read “I’m NOT lost, don’t call the cops, call Dan at xxxxx”

  2. Please pet owners: LEASHES! And don’t bring your animals into stores or restaurants pushing out paying customers, when store owners need revenues. I often leave Macy’s and elsewhere to avoid dogs. Besides Costco, where can I shop where dogs are not welcome?

  3. Dogs don’t belong in stores: They don’t carry money. Their owners are welcome: They do and aren’t likely to jump on, bite or trip people and don’t cause issues for people with pet dander allergies. Loneliness–either of owner or pet–is not an excuse.

  4. We had a Husky, he liked to run off anytime he figured how to get out. Good luck catching a Husky if it doesn’t want to be caught. During my young years dogs were common tripping off wherever they wanted to go. A dog we had made regular visits to a woman living in a Miramar Hotel Cottage. She’d have her maid bring the dog in and get treats for it. Hope this one got home. LUCKY 777, I love your tale of the Husky and how you solved keeping it away from the dog catcher.

  5. I hope the dog is safe and his owner has been found.
If I would of been there I would of tried to catch him, for sure.
I do own a dog and her everywhere, and people seem to always flock around her, she seems to bring happiness to the people who see her.
She has never attempted to bite a person in her life,
So yes be responsible pet owners, they are counting on us, to keep them safe.
