Dog Rescued from Storm Drain in Goleta

Source: Santa Barbara County Fire Department

SBC responded at 5:30 pm Friday to a small K9 trapped in a storm drain in the 300 block of Grenoble Rd in Goleta.

Several juveniles passing the drain, heard the dog’s cries and called 911. SBC arrived on scene and removed the manhole cover, and FF Sam Dudley climbed into the storm drain and coaxed the small dog to him and brought him up to the surface.

It’s unknown how long the dog was in the drain, but he was reunited shortly with his grateful owner.
