Dog Rescued from More Mesa Cliff

By edhat staff
A small dog named Louis was rescued by firefighters from More Mesa cliffs on Saturday.
At 3:36 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the area of Mockingbird Lane and Calle Las Brisas to rescue a dog over the cliffs.
Crews discovered a three-year-old dog named Louis had fallen over the side of the cliff. The dog was reportedly walking with its owner when it got too close to the edge and rolled down the cliff.
Firefighters enacted a high-angle rope system to rescue the dog who was then carried back to the top of the cliff and reunited with its owner.
There were no injuries.

Dec 27, 2020 11:46 AMYes if you value your dog you should keep them on leash. Imagine the guilt if you dog was killed from this tumble. How is your dog supposed to know there is sheer drop to the cliff?
But I also agree it is good practice for when they need to rescue a human. I'm sure they considered it a good call to rescue a cute Frenchie named Louise for the day.

This sounds like such a Frenchie thing to do.

Dec 27, 2020 03:39 PMThe firemen are getting more than enough "practice" with these deals, both for humans and dogs. Every month or so there's another fool move happening.
Another waste of money. Sorry, it's true.
