Dog of the Week: Petunia

By Spark Rescue

Available for adoption now: Meet Petunia this 7 pound sweetheart is still patiently waiting for a home to call her own! Petunia is just 2 years old we were told she is a terrier/ poodle mix. She was bred until her owner decided she didn’t want to breed her anymore so she had no use for her, thankfully Alecia and Shannon were able to make the trip to Bakersfield to pick up Petunia and her remaining two pups!  Petunia is well adjusted, eager to please, loves to go for walks and is a cuddle bug too! Petunia loves everyone she meets!

She is excellent with other dogs, cats and children too! Petunia would be a perfect addition to a family but because of her small size we recommend a family with children that have been raised around animals and considerate of her size. Petunia would also thrive in a home as a companion dog to a single person or couple. Petunia is housebroken, crate trained, leash trained and drives wonderfully in a car. She is also “office trained” as her foster mom Sara is able to bring her to work and she waits patiently at her office.

If you are interested in giving this adorable fur baby a forever home please visit our website at www.sparkrescue.org and submit a dog adoption application. Petunia is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and current on flea meds. Thank you for choosing to adopt
