What a wonderful pet you have. You may need to leave instructions in your will about who will get him if you die first. Macaws need the same as they live to a very ripe old age. My Grandma's sister had one when I was a little girl. Grams and I would visit in LA and I loved playing with him, and feeding lettuce. I even took it to the grocery store.

Awww! I LOVE TORTOISES! That old Grampa Tortoise is looking very well taken care of, and well loved. Thank you, OP for caring for him for so long. So often folks aren't fully aware of how long some pets live, and how long they'll have to be responsible for them. Kudos to you! Lucky little guy.
