Public Assistance Requested to Locate Wanted Fugitive

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for 27-year-old Alexander Toral of Santa Barbara. He has a warrant out for his arrest and has fled from deputies this past Sunday and Monday. He was last seen in the area of Rhoads Avenue and Via Miguel near Turnpike Road. He is not believed to be armed and dangerous. However if you see him do not approach him but rather call our non-emergency dispatch line at 805-683-2724 or to leave an anonymous tip, please call 805-681-4171.

At approximately 2:30 pm [Monday] a wanted suspect fled from deputies during a car stop in the 5000-block of Rhoads and Via Miguel in the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara near Goleta. The Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and a SB County Air Support helicopter responded and searched the area.

A notice was sent out to residents In the area asking them to be on the lookout for the suspect who was described as an adult Hispanic male with a shaved head. The suspect was not located. The deputies know who the suspect is and will be continuing to conduct an investigation until he is apprehended.He is not believed to be armed and dangerous.

The 28 year old female driver from Ventura was arrested for a parole violation and narcotic possession charges.
