Delight Vames

Delight Vames was born March 14, 1921 in Newcastle, Pennsylvania.  She grew up in Chicago and studied a the Chicago Art Institute.  She married Leo Vames and had two children, Tom and Sandra.  They moved to Los Angeles where she worked for Max Factor until retiring in Santa Barbara where she lived until her death.  Delight is survived by her son Tom Vames, her brother Michael Pahos (Vivian), sister Georgia Tripsas (Trifon), and many nieces and nephews.  Trisagion service at Welch-Ryce-Haider Chapel, 15 E. Sola St. on Monday, Feb 12, 2018 at 6:00pm.  Funeral services will be at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 1205 San Antonio Creek Rd. on  Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:00 am.  Interment to follow at Santa Barbara Cemetery, 901 Channel Dr.  Donations can be made to the St. Barbara Greek Church General Fund in her name.
