Delayed So Cal Edison Bill

Update by K8

A couple weeks ago, someone posted here that they were not receiving their SCE bills.  Have you since received a bill?  If so, what did you do to get this result?   We haven’t received a bill since September.  We have called SCE countless times, and have three different open case numbers, with no results.  They also closed one case number….how?  By sending it to another department…..LOL.  We’ve canceled our “Auto Pay”, in preparation for a bill of $Hundreds.  We plan on contacting Senator Monique Limon with our complaint. Anyone have any other suggestions on how to resolve this?

I haven’t gotten a bill from Southern California Edison since September 2021.  This is what I found online.  Could not get through on the phone.

We experienced a technical issue, and this has resulted in some customers not receiving their bills on time. We are now diligently working to clear the backlog of delayed bills.

We encourage you to wait until you receive your bill before contacting us, as our Energy Advisors will not be able to provide an estimated date for your bill. You can call us to set-up a payment arrangement once you have received your bill.

Anyone else experience this?

  1. Hmmm….we also haven’t gotten a bill since September. And we also opted out of “smart meters”. Is there a correlation? And BTW, I have gotten through several times to talk to humans. I used the number on the back of our statement for “billing” and kept hitting “0” until I got a person (now about five people). The last of the five (supposedly) set up an appointment for a human to come to the house and check the meter. Weird that they all acted like we were the only ones with this billing problem…

  2. Why disturbing? I find it very interesting to know exactly how much it costs me to, for example, run a load of laundry. For socalgas, they also have this feature, it’s neat! Now I know exactly how much it costs me to run the furnace, etc.
