On January 16, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., public safety personnel including police, fire and paramedics were dispatched to the area of Alameda Park in response to a report of an unresponsive male.
Upon arrival, a 65-year-old male lying on the ground near a bench on the south side of the park was located. The male was unresponsive and did not have a pulse.
Public safety personnel immediately began life-saving measures. Despite approximately 20 minutes of medical intervention, the male could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, there are no indications of foul play. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
