Alaska Airlines has brought back daily nonstop flights from San Luis Obispo to Las Vegas starting October 4, 2025, the SLO County Airport (SBP) announced in a statement.
The service is seasonal, with increased interest in the route this time of year.
“Las Vegas has always been a top destination for our region, drawing both leisure travelers and business opportunities,” County Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg said in the statement.
She further noted that restoring nonstop service helps residents and boosts the economy.
Director of Airports Courtney Johnson commented on the development, saying that the return of this Las Vegas route highlights Alaska Airlines’ confidence in the San Luis Obispo County market and its partnership with the airport.
Daily nonstop flights to Las Vegas make weekend getaways easy for travelers, and are expected to bring more visitors to the Central Coast, the SLO County Airport noted.
The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport has not offered seasonal nonstop flights to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas for sometime now, The Tribune reported. The previous direct service reportedly ran from October 27, 2024, through April 21, 2025.
The SLO County Airport serves as a key transportation hub for California’s Central Coast, according to the statement. It has modern amenities, and offers domestic flights to major U.S. cities.
SLO County Airport serves from Southern Monterey County to San Luis Obispo County and up into Northern Santa Barbara County. The airport focuses on safe, efficient, and customer-friendly air travel. In addition, SLO County Airport offers full-service facilities for general aviation and corporate aircraft.
