COVID-19 Positive Inmate Booked at the Main Jail

Lompoc Police recently arrested a suspect who claimed to be COVID-19 positive. The suspect was taken to the hospital, confirmed COVID-19 positive and booked at the Main Jail with precautions. The inmate was immediately housed in the negative pressure housing area upon booking. This brings the total number of inmates testing positive for COVID-19 to 11. Of those, 7 inmates are currently being medically monitored and treated, 1 inmate has recovered, and 3 inmates have been released from custody.
