Viral photos reportedly showing former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and pop star Katy Perry together on a yacht off Santa Barbara coast have sparked speculation of the two dating.
According to U.S. media reports, the viral photos show Perry and Trudeau purportedly kissing and hugging on the yacht. Neither Trudeau nor Perry has made any official statement about the photos.

In the photos shared by the Daily Mail, Trudeau, 53, is shirtless, wearing jeans, while Perry, 40, wears a sleek black one-piece swimsuit.
According to the report, a passenger on a nearby tourist boat captured the image in September while Perry took a brief break from her Lifetime’s world tour.
“She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out,” the source told the Daily Mail.
“I didn’t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau,” the source added.
Some social media users criticized Trudeau’s actions, while others joked about the pairing.
Not the First Time Duo Spotted Together
On July 29, 2025, The Sun reported that Trudeau and Perry were seen together in Canada following Perry’s split from Orlando Bloom earlier this year, fueling speculation of a possible romance.
The two appeared to be in conversation with each other at Le Violon in Montreal.
Perry and Bloom confirmed their separation in July. They had been in a relationship since 2016, briefly splitting in 2017 before reconciling. Bloom proposed in 2019, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in 2020. She is currently on her Lifetimes Tour, which started in April and runs through December, inspired by her 2024 album 143.
Meanwhile, Trudeau was previously married to former TV host Sophie Grégoire. The couple separated in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share three children: Xavier, 17; Ella-Grace, 16; and Hadrien, 11.

Famous and experienced people like Trudeau and Perry know full well that their PDA (snogging on top of a boat in full daylight) would be captured on vid/camera. Good for them. I think Katy needs this kind of PR for her career as most all “celebs” want to be in the “news.” Trudeau, on the other hand, likes to be with famous women. I think a few years ago he was involved with Kimberly Guilfoyle (the infamous and yucky MAGA queen who was clinging like a Charmin chad to one of the Trumpster boys).
