Does anyone have more information about police activity on Santa Barbara’s Westside on Thursday night?

After 9:00 p.m. there were a lot of sirens in the area of Mission and Robbins.

I went outside and saw about five SBPD vehicles and multiple officers near the intersection with guns. It looked to be one suspect with their hands up.

Pretty unsettling, neighbors did not get an alert or warning to shelter in place. Wondering what happened.

  1. often times when this happens, there is no time for them to send out alerts. they have to act quickly. which they did and there was no shots fired or injuries. that’s the good part. the best part, bad guy in custody. thank you SBPD for keep the WS safe~
