Caltrans will be performing construction on the traffic signal loops at the Intersection of State Route 246/1 (H Street) in Lompoc beginning  Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 pm until 5 am tomorrow morning and resuming following the morning commute from 8 am until 4 pm.

Motorists can expect delays at this intersection while Caltrans performs this pavement maintenance which will affect the timing of the traffic signals.  Motorist should allow additional time to reach their destinations during this period.

This roadwork is part of a larger project to resurface more than 42 lane miles of State Route 1 from the Interchange with US 101 near Las Cruces to the Interchange with State Route 246 near Lompoc in Santa Barbara County.  This project will also include new guardrail to enhance public safety.

CalPortland Construction of Santa Barbara is the contractor for this $15 million project.  This project is expected to be complete in January of 2019.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
