Conditional Voter Registration and Voting Available

Santa Barbara County Elections will be offering Conditional Voter Registration and Provisional Voting at the Montecito Center for Preparedness, Recovery and Rebuilding, 1283 Coast Village Circle, to residents who missed the voter registration deadline of May 21, or for those who haven’t had an opportunity to update their address information for the upcoming election.

The service will be available:

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday, June 3

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, June 4

7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5

Conditional Voter Registration, also known as Same Day Registration, allows voters who missed the May 21 registration deadline to register and vote at the County Elections Office or designated Satellite Office. Voters are provided a voter registration form to complete, then issued a ballot that is placed in an envelope. Once the Elections Office determines the voter is eligible to register and determines the voter has not already voted in the election, the ballot will be counted.

Voters who received a vote by mail ballot may also return the voted ballot at this location. 

Vote-by-Mail ballots must be received in the County Elections Office, at or any polling place within California, by 8 p.m. on Election Day,June 5, 2018.  If returning a ballot by mail, the ballot must be received by Election Day or postmarked on or by Election Day, June 5 and received by the County Elections Office by June 8, 2018.

Vote-by-Mail ballots may also be returned to one of the County Elections Offices in Santa Barbara, Lompoc or Santa Maria or a 24-hour drive-up drop box location through 8 p.m. on June 5, 2018.

On Election Day, Tuesday, June 5, 2018, all four offices are open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
