Community Invited to Montecito Recovery Meeting

The community is invited to hear presentations from the County of Santa Barbara about the latest news and information regarding the recovery and rebuilding effort following the 1/9 Debris Flow. The program will include an overview of the Like-for-Like Ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors on May 15, the long-term Recovery Strategic Plan, and proposed hazard mitigation projects.

The Community Informational Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 at the Cold Spring School Auditorium, 2243 Sycamore Canyon Rd. The meeting will also be shown live on the County’s FaceBook page at https://www.facebook.com/countyofsb. A video of the meeting will air in rotation on CSBTV cable channel 20, and be available on the County’s YouTube channel at
www.YouTube.com/user/CSBTV20.

The public is also welcome to visit the Montecito Center for Preparedness, Recovery and Rebuilding, which serves as a central source of support, information and resources for residents, businesses, employees and communities affected by the Thomas Fire and 1/9 Debris Flow. The Center is located at 1283 Coast Village Circle, with the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
