Otherwise: Never dry clean your sleeping bag. Solvents used in dry cleaning can strip the natural oils from down that help it retain loft. Never use fabric softener, bleach or alternative-bleach products. Never wash a sleeping bag in a top-loading machine with an agitator.

Sep 13, 2022 08:34 PMWe've always washed our bags in our regular machine, down or not. Important to have days to dry out, and if down, to fluff up.
