Coast Guard Searching for Missing Person off Carpinteria Coast

The Coast Guard is currently searching for a confirmed person in the water near Carpinteria, CA. Coast Guard air and sea assets are on scene as well as assets from City of Santa Barbara and Ventura County Harbor Patrols.

USCG assets on scene, Spartan C-27J Aircraft from Air Station Sacramento, helicopter crews from Air Station San Fransisco Forward Operating Base Mugu and Air Station San Diego. The USCG Cutter Terrell Horne and a 45-foot response boat from USCG Station Channel Islands.

The search will continue through out the night.
