Coast Colors

It’s such a rare and special treat to fly our coast, even after doing it so often. Every time we see changes in the familiar and discover new wonders. For starters a spectacular view down a canyon out past the La Conchita hills to the islands. Nearby some lovely yellow Triffids spotted the West slopes for miles (my term until someone can tell us what those tendrils are in the burned area). A look along the ridge East to Lake Casitas, taken with polarized filter like the first pic to make it crisp with tweaky colors. An update of the Summerland Cliff Dwellers shows they’ve upgraded some since a neighbor’s place burned. At Butterfly Beach the Coral Casino pool is drained, mud’s gone at the condos, and the Biltmore tennis courts & parking lot are cleaned up. The dark patches underwater offshore accent small shapes that look like fascinating fish (or sharks), but they’re seaweed strands.
