We saw this healthy little Bobcat scramble up a tree in broad daylight. Luckily, my dogs weren’t around so I went in for a closer look.
At first it was hard to see him, but when I did, he didn’t seem very concerned with me taking his picture. He was a very clean and healthy looking animal. I’m sure he’s been eating well because this has been a great year for gophers and squirrels.
Just made us wonder how often wild cats like this are watching us and we are completely unaware.
Thanks for these gorgeous pics. We’re so lucky that our local rodent control is so beautiful.
Excellent photos!
I assume this is in one of our many urban/wildland border zones. Would you mind sharing the area?
Thanks!
Very cute! Looks like a house cat. Nice pictures!
Aww! How cute!
So cool. Can’t believe how much a young bobcat looks like our tabby. Nice to see some local wildlife.
Maybe he was shocked to see you scramble up with him! (That is how you got such great pics, right?)
Is this in a neighborhood or in areas next to one?
Thanks!
I’ll never forget the first time I heard one,way down in a canyon off Old San Marcos. So hoarse and raspy.
Turn down the volume and DON’T play this near your cat!
