In 2023, the Touch-A-Truck event witnessed a grand turnout of over 4,500 people, showcasing more than 60 vehicles and engaging attendees with 5 food and beverage vendors, alongside a myriad of bubbles provided by the Bubble Guy.

The funds raised through sponsorships and donations have been pivotal in supporting PEP’s initiatives like New Parent Groups, Warmline, and Baby Basics which offer crucial support and education to new parents in the Santa Barbara area.

PEP Santa Barbara (Postpartum Education for Parents) is the proud organizer of this event, driven by its mission to support growing families with opportunities for education, encouragement, and social engagement, in a non-judgmental, inclusive, and community-based manner. In 2023 alone, PEP welcomed over 300 parents and their babies to its groups and plans to bring these groups back in person in 2024 at the new space in the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara. The organization’s Warmline offers confidential one-on-one support from trained volunteers, while Baby Basics classes prepare soon-to-be parents for what to expect post-birth.
