A classic estate in Montecito has hit the market for $6.85 million, according to a listing on Redfin

Situated on more than an acre of landscaped gardens, the property features three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms.

Originally built in 1962, the property sits on 937 Arcady Road and spans 3,689 sq. ft. and features a traditional, Spanish architectural style.

The foyer has a sweeping staircase, with tall windows and French doors ensuring ample light inside the property.

The living room consists of a traditional fireplace and opens to terraces overlooking the pool and gardens. There is a dining room adjacent to the living room and library.

The kitchen features an expansive center island, double ovens, a wall of windows, and stone countertops.

All the bedrooms have en-suite baths and balconies offering landscape views. The primary bedroom includes a sitting area, a fireplace, and French doors that open to a veranda.

Outdoor amenities include a pool framed by mature oaks, gardens, and patios. The property also has a multi-use poolside room that can be used for relaxing or hosting.

The estate includes a two-car detached garage.

The property has been listed by Cristal Clarke of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, according to the Redfin listing.

The property was last renovated in 1980, the listing noted.

There is no information on the seller.

This isn’t the first time the house was listed for sale. The estate was listed for $5.29 million in December 2023 and sold for $5.4 million in February 2024, according to the listing. It was listed for rent several times earlier this year before being listed for sale.

Luxury Real Estate Market in Montecito

Montecito is a buyer’s market, Redfin noted. Since inventory is high and competition is low, buyers have more negotiating power, the realtor added.

The coastal enclave is known for houses that offer privacy and seclusion and is home to several luxurious estates.

A hot favorite among Hollywood celebrities and high-net-worth individuals, especially after the pandemic, Montecito offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains.

Luxury estates in Montecito typically feature expansive residences with landscaped gardens and high-end amenities, such as additional dwelling units, pool, and tennis courts.

In November 2025, Montecito recorded 15 closed escrows, with a median sales price of $8.3 million, according to the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors. Median sales price increased in November from $7 million the previous month.

A 1.36-acre property, the former home to Hollywood legend Jane Russel, was listed for $8.25 million in November 2025.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his supermodel wife Behati Prinsloo’s luxury 13,362-sq-ft. estate fetched $60 million when it was sold in October 2025.
